Ashwagandha root is the raw, whole form of Withania somnifera, a cornerstone herb in Ayurveda. It’s the source from which both powder and extracts are made. Traditionally, the dried root is used to prepare teas, decoctions, and tonics for stress, energy, sleep, and vitality.
