Coconut Oil (Hot Pressed)
Coconut Oil (Hot Pressed) is a refined, stable, and cost-effective oil ideal for soapmaking, lotions, hair oils, and neutral-scented cosmetic products. While less nutrient-rich than cold-pressed coconut oil, it’s highly versatile and perfect when fragrance and stability are priorities.
Coconut Oil (Hot Pressed) is another form of coconut oil, but unlike the cold-pressed version, it’s extracted using heat and pressure. This makes it more stable and affordable, though slightly less nutrient-dense. It’s widely used in soaps, creams, hair oils, and balms where strong antioxidant retention is less critical.
Coconut Oil (Hot Pressed)
- Extracted from dried coconut kernels (copra) using heat and mechanical pressing.
- Usually refined, deodorized, and bleached (RBD) to remove odor and impurities.
- Cosmetic grade → intended for external use in skincare, haircare, and soapmaking.
🔹 Key Components
- Lauric acid (≈ 50%) → cleansing, antimicrobial.
- Caprylic & capric acids → lightweight moisturization.
- Myristic & palmitic acids → protective, add structure to formulations.
- Lower levels of Vitamin E & polyphenols compared to cold-pressed oil.
